Such a very sweet girl! Mairead loved playing at the beach with her family! We got to dip our toes in the water, run and play at the beach, and of course it wouldn’t be a photoshoot without a tickle fight!!! We got to hang out with Mairead’s family and chat about Down Syndrome and ALL of the possibilities! Mairead had the sweetest little laugh you’ve ever heard! When asked to tell us a bit about her, mama said:

“Mairead was the spark of light our family needed. She brought purpose and a sense of joy to our entire family. She has sparked advocacy in her mom, Caitlin, a public special education teacher who is now pursing a degree in Special Education Administration for both school buildings and district level. Mairead brings her feisty, jalapeño pepper self to every interaction in this world and has taught us to always act the way we feel, to treat everyday as a gift, and most importantly to include and respect those around us no matter what. 
If we could leave the world with one thing about our girl:

To know her is to love her. Don’t count her out and most importantly, get to know Mairead. She is so much more than anything you could perceive! 

To the entire team at IGP…thank you! For including us, for featuring our girl and most of all for showing the world just how amazing these individuals are! The day the world sees our kids as the people they are before a person with Down Syndrome is a day I look forward to. Thanks to your work, that day is a day sooner!
